Terms of submission

The promises a reporter makes and the permissions needed for confidential review.

By submitting

  • You state that the report is accurate to the best of your knowledge and clearly distinguishes direct knowledge from information received from others.
  • You confirm that you are permitted to provide the submitted material for the route you select.
  • You understand that submission does not create a lawyer–client relationship or guarantee action by a college, regulator or helpline.
  • You agree not to submit fabricated evidence, malware, unlawful intimate imagery or material included solely to harass someone.

Official complaint permission

When you select the official complaint route and confirm the authorisation box, you instruct End Ragging to store, review and transmit the displayed complaint to the selected authorities. End Ragging may pause a complaint to correct an invalid destination, reduce an obvious privacy risk or prevent misuse. We do not change the substance of a complaint without the reporter’s further permission. Copies are sent separately so one recipient does not receive another recipient’s address.

Newsroom permission

When you select the confidential newsroom route, you permit End Ragging to store, examine, authenticate and internally share the submission with authorised reviewers for reporting and safety assessment. Publication of identifying material requires a separate editorial decision and appropriate redaction.

Emergency reporting

End Ragging is not an emergency service or government authority. A queued complaint is reviewed before transmission and is not suitable for an immediate threat. If someone is in danger, contact emergency services or the National Anti-Ragging Helpline directly.
